Monday (13/10):
Had the first quiz for Probability and Statistics, which was considered disturbingly late. I mean, most of the subjects are already having, or will be having, MIDTERMS. Not that I'm at all anxious about it or in the least bit a worshipper of the subject, I'm simply just not a fan of what the short semester people are currently going through: sitting for their finals barely 2 weeks after midterms. Though I doubt that would happen to us. But still.
The quiz was easy, to say the least. It was like retaking Add Maths all over again, in a simpler version. And no, I ain't boasting. Other than the awfully detailed steps and non-sensical formulas, it was merely the careful poking of calculator buttons. Seriously.
Tuesday (14/10):
Seems like Tuesday is our unofficial Pool Day. Either Ms Hazlin was in an oddly bright mood, or that she didn't have the mood to lecture, or simply because she finished lecturing what she intended to lecture, we were let out an hour and a half earlier. Weeeee...So to Fireball we went. And we brought along a 'Special Guest', and his friend, too (eyebrows arch knowingly at Wen Dee).
I must say, my skills fluctuated a lot. In one game I was hitting 3 balls consecutively and I was missing almost every single shot in the other. It was interesting playing against Stephan and Timothy from Foundation I, but, honestly, they shouldn't be allowed to stand next to each other. Everytime they did, Jia Wen and I couldn't score at all. And they kept scrutinizing us, purposefully staring with feigned concentration when it was our turn to strike, then gloated when we didn't score. *Rolls eyes* But they were sociable and friendly people, seeing as it was their first time playing pool, or even mixing, with us.
Wednesday (15/10):
Classes were usual. Had a replacement class for choir. Pasar malam sucked though. Thanks to the heavy downpour, the asphalt was slippery and wet, with muddy sludges of God-knows-what. Plus, we went right after the rain stopped, so plenty of the stalls were not open yet. In the end, I bought myself a chocolate ice bubble drink and ordered some food from a cafe at the doorstep of the campus. So much for my long-awaited junk food shopping at the night market.
Thursday (16/10):
Happy 18th Birthday, Bi Ying!
Went for lunch at Leisure Mall to celebrate the Yellow Girl's BIG 18! And just for the occasion, those who were informed tried our best to find and wear a yellow shirt/blouse, the birthday girl's favourite colour. On the full scale, the whole table looked rather yellowish indeed (okay, that came out wrong).
The only let-down of the day was the patience-testingly, blood-boilingly late arrival of our food. Well, maybe not mine, and Andrew's and Bi Ying's and Rays', since I ordered early. But the rest of the party (there were 12 of us in total) had to wait more or less an hour and a half for their orders! Apparently, the machine had some set-back or some shit. Meaning, their orders weren't sent in. What the heck! Everyone was so damn pissed off.
But let's forget about that. We just have to avoid going to that restaurant in the near future.
Hope you had a great time, Bi Ying!
(Photos will be uploaded once the birthday girl sent them to me)
Friday (17/10):
Our choir concert of the semester again (short semester for the Degree students)! Meaning, no more choir classes after this week! Cheers!
Okay, choir wasn't so bad after all, what with grumpy Ian teaching us only 1 of the 2 classes in a week and Cikgu Vincent the other, it was just the time slot that annoyed me. I mean, who with a sane mind would want to travel all the way to college on a Friday evening? And for merely 2 bloody hours? Not to mention the times when the class ended early and those people driving had to get stuck in the jam on the way home. Talk about time planning.
Anyway, all's well, ends well. The whole concert took a little over 45 minutes perhaps. Even my family came, partly to boost my attendance, partly to fetch me home. Plus, my sis wanted to see for herself the 'honorable Kang'. It was said he was 1 of the judges for the MSSD/MSSS choir she took part in (or was it Ian?).
Here's some photos:

Seriously, he looked better 'live', as in in-person
