Rainbow after a Rain

The Union of the Sluts brought forth yet another slew of notorious wrongdoings.

Trysting place: Santini/San Francisco, Tropicana Mall
Yet-to-be-settled case: THE Great Escape

Blessing the minions with their presence were:
Her Sluttaciousness Amanda from the Land of False Pretenses
Her Sluttaciousness Joanna from the Country-That-Analyzes-Too-Much
Her Sluttaciousness Ying Hui from the Scrapland
His Sluttaciousness Eu Chern from the Country-That-Paints-Their-Towns-Blue
Her Sluttatiousness Lucinda from the Land-That-Hugs-And-Kisses-A-Lot
Her Sluttaciousness Jing Hua from the Tiny Pond
(His Sluttaciousness Chee Kin from the Land of Knarnia was once again inexplicably M.I.A.)

Spent half the time quoting Michael Jackson's Remember The Time.

Do you remember the time
When Chee Kin strip-danced for us
When we gave him that shirt
That said 'I'm a Virgin'?

Do you remember the time
When Jo hosted a forum
On pre-marital sex
And we recorded it?

The other half was, well, hogwashing (yesh, such word does exist) about a mixture of everything while being snapped to and reverted back to the plotting of our escapade, by whoever was currently in a sane state of mind, every single time we drifted off topic, which happened in 5 second-intervals.

Amazing indeed, that we gave up plotting AFTER lunch and not during. Seeked solace in my camera instead.

None shall pass but the colour green

Show some skin, y'all

Candid shots

Life ain't fun without colours, non?

The unavoidable cam-whoring

I like this shot. Makes it look as if it were candid, yet she was somehow aware of the camera pointing at her. And the lighting was pretty too :) Come to think of it, there aren't many photos of Jing Hua, especially solo ones.

Ahh. That BABY BLUE 'Buy me stuff & I'll be nicer' Happy Bunny blouse Joanna and Eu Chern got me for my birhtday. Loves it! OoOoOOooo! I brought the black bag Amanda and Shien Yin gave me too but it shy-ed away from the camera >:(

Save the best for the last. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen :) Though I personally wouldn't mind if we stuck to intoxicating ourselves with Starbucks and feeding our exploding dam of photos. As it is, movie was wicked. Graphics and plot wise. Didn't pay much attention to the minute details and characters. Perhaps a second time would do my rating for the movie justice. I'm just saying.

No. My bro and sis weren't really there, I photoshopped them in Bro, sis and mom joined us for the movie. The more the merrier?

They said there is a pot of gold at the end of every rainbow. I've found my pot of gold :)

Like I'd promised :)

A Little Breather

Original plan:
Head to MidValley, get Jia Wen's laptop fixed, quick lunch and rush back to uni for Music Tech midterm recording assignment

Sidetrack:
Someone's fingers got itchy looking at the word SALES a tad too many a times

Catalyst:
Cancellation of recording assignment

End result:
Stayed till 6pm to quench that certain someone's thirst for new clothes

By-product:
1 black collared shirt from the Reject Shop and 4 Body Glove mini polos (3 black, 1 green. Guess who owns the odd one?)

Oh. And photos :)

It was Sizzling Hot Plate day. Except for Little Miss Oddball sitting opposite me.

Booo! Carmen was the only who didn't fancy Sizzling Hot Plate for lunch >:(

So we loitered around for the next hour, killing time with window shopping (for the moment). But thanks to Chu Ying's sms on the cancellation of the recording, and not to mention Dave's inevitable need to purchase a new shirt (AND the alluring SALE signs), we were all tempted to allow our wallets a little breather. And succumbed to it, we did (to be frank, I'd rather feast my eyes with books then clothes anytime, even if I desperately need new ones, but it ain't fun squealing over books alone).

Guess where we shopped at? BODY GLOVE! 2 for RM 50, 3rd piece for RM19. Wicked, wasn't it? So we got ourselves 4 of the mini polos off the promotion rack. Black ones for Jia Wen, Huay May and Carmen. Green for me (why do I always strive to be odd?).

Departed around 6pm, thus explained why we reached college an hour later instead of the usual 15 mintues. Dilly-dallied for a while, dropped Carmen off at McD and off we went again to Nihon Kai to re-celebrate Rachel's birthday since only a couple of us were free on Monday. Spent half the time laughing. Audrey's idea on diverting attention from Wen Dee's flattering figure WAS interesting :) I wonder how long it takes for Wen Dee to see through the fog and comprehend the joke...

Anyway, Happy Belated 19th Birthday, Rachel! Sorry we didn't get to carry out the tradition and squash your face into the cake! Next year, then >:)

Treacherous Tuesdays, Tormentous Thursdays

Try having a schedule starting at 10 in the morning (it doesn't help when you're sleep deprived) and dragging all the way to 6. And on Thursdays, exchange piano class on Tuesday for sectional practice and choir, which ends at 7. Let's just pretend we're talking about classes, the sitting and listening and attempting to decipher the lectures, excluding the mumbo-jumbo of the shitty assignments and projects. Ok. Now top that up with a recording assignment during the sole miserable 2 hour break or attending a concert after the day's over. It's a death sentence, I tell you.

2nd June:
Ah. The KL Pac WVC Trio + 1 concert.

:)
- Tay Cher Siang (piano) + Vincent Ong (bass) + Adam Osmianski (drums) = awesome music
- Got my concert pamphlet signed by them
- I ain't a KL Pac Virgin no more

>:(
- Drained of energy
- Drowsiness due to lack of sleep
- RUSH to take away dinner. RUSH to the concert. RUSH to reach uni before midnight (but failed).
- Denied access to the hostel (the fucking guards wouldn't even let me pass through the main gates, bitching some shit about midnight curfew and that I wouldn't be allowed into the hostel anyway. Oh? Then how did Phyllis and Song Lin got in? Walked through the damn walls?). So, THANK YOU EUNICE for letting me crash your place!
- Had band practice the next morning

Me, Huay May and Jia Wen

4th June:
All it took was one mere sentence. 3 words.

"The deadline's today."
Blank stares.
"Could we hand it in tomorrow?"
"You can. But I'll have to deduct 2 marks."
Eff. You. See. Kay.
"We thought the deadline's tomorrow coz you said it was due 'end of the week'."
"Well, you should have asked me earlier, or at least yesterday, to confirm. As a university student, it's your responsibility to..."
While he blah-ed away, Kar Yen and I mouthed our plan, which wasn't really one anyway. We had no choice. It was simple and it was a fact: do or die.

We rounded Wei Xian up, locked ourselves in 2 practice rooms, unplugged the piano heaters to charge our laptops and typed till our fingers bleed.

HA. We fucking finished our report seconds before choir class (Ganesh gave us the stage plot just in time too)! I was still late for class though. Had to find Adil to transfer the assignment from my flash drive.

For that week, choir became my favourite class.

9th June:
Midi 1
-Start working midterm project

Music Tech
Failure to carry out the recording of Thursday's student recital would result in fatal consequences.

*Reminder: Read up on heavy metal. Do NOT attempt to comprehend the music by listening to more than a song per day. I doubt deafness would be much of a help in this field of studies.

11th June:
*Bristling with pride*

I did my first ever recording! Along with my group, that is. Not to mention Group 8. And Group 7. And Group 6.

Anyway, it was a helluva trouble setting up, especially when everything was so new to us and everyone was so blur. The depressing part was with me not knowing the Audio Interface device itself had to be installed into my laptop, even if I downloaded the driver and the Audacity programme, so I had to record using Jia Wen's laptop :( Potong steamnya.

XY stereo miking technique. Oww...I forgot to take a photo of the AB/Spaced pair miking

That little rectangular box with wires sticking out is the Roland UA-25 Audio Interface. Interesting device, that one.

The recording set-up

Kar Yen and me

16th June:
Ass. Ass. And more asses. Either due on the coming Thursday, or the following one.

I need a life.

18th June:
Spent lunch break till minutes before the class rushing the second report for Music Tech. Adil decided to cancel class.

Someone please shoot me.

At least we had some, uh hem, fun while we were at work...

...thanks to this guy above. And his other accomplices.

It was a miracle how we still had energy left to drop by Bangkok Jazz at 10pm. If it weren't for the lung-cancer-causing-cigarette smoke (and the flapping chicken wings entertainment, courtesy of the tambourine player/singer), I probably would have dozed off there and then.

Audrey, Huay May and me

Ooo...they're sitting together...wearing white top and blue jeans...heehee

Watch out for Treacherous Tuesdays, Tormentous Thursdays 2. Though it might mean more ranting.

Scribbles of boredom

He stroked the marble smooth surface of the lid before lifting it to reveal the almost-translucent scented wrapper, which fluttered a little in the slight draft caused by the air-conditioner, like papery fingers beckoning him to unearth the treasure that lay hidden beneath them.

With as much care as handling an old book with yellowed and worn-out pages, he unfolded the wrapper and brought out the garment within. A flurry of taffeta and tulle cascaded to the ground, nearly touching it, like water tumbling down the mouth of a waterfall, as he held the dress between his two thumbs and index fingers, as if afraid that his grubby fingers and palms might stain the greenish-hue cloth.

“Magnificanto,” he murmured, tasting the word on his tongue.

He strode over to her, gown in hand. She was gazing out of the floor-to-ceiling window as usual, her back straight and stiff, shoulders slightly pushed back, chin held high, the posture of a confident, educated and social-ladder-climber of a lady.

“Look what I’ve got you: an exquisite vintage evening gown, your favourite,” he cooed into her ears, softly as the rustle of the leaves falling on the other side of the plane of glass. As a reply, she continued staring out, her eyes unfocused, though he thought he saw her lips curled delicately. Draping the gown over his arm, he led her to a dark corner and began undressing her from the stylish Emporio Armani office wear with fumbling but careful fingers. Gorgeous as she looked in the charcoal-black suit matched with a knee-length tight-fitting skirt and a pearl-white blouse, nothing would accentuate her figure more than this particular antique evening gown. All eyes would be on her.

Soon, the clothes were at her feet, leaving her bare. He precariously undid the zip at the waist of the gown and slipped it through her up-stretched hands and over her head, taking care not to ruffle her auburn hair. The crisp, smooth woven fabric slithered down her body, the silky material caressing her. It was like soaking in a bathtub of butter filled to the brim.

He made some final adjustments and took a step back. And sighed in admiration. The celadon green bodice hugged her torso in an off-shoulder style, with the lace opening at the very top of it to show a tad paler shade of green tulle. A handful of crystal beads peppered the bodice, like freckles on a child’s face, which was lined in the former shade of green rayon taffeta. Running down the length of the lower half of her 1.7m frame was a flared skirt of emerald hue rayon taffeta.

He let his eyes roved over her in the gown appreciatively, raking her beauty with his mere sight, absently tracing a finger across the collar bones and down the length of one arm, though he was careful to avoid coming in contact with the clothe, as if his touch could sing it…

Jackson! What the hell’s taking you so bloody long to dress the mannequin?!”

Swearing to himself, Jackson hurriedly, but not carelessly, placed the mannequin back at its location by the display window, allowing it to once more gaze out onto the bustling street beyond the plane of glass. Gathering the Armani outfit hastily, he rushed to the back of the shop to resume his work.

Writing spree + exhuastion and weariness from assignments + influence of the full moon = crappy essay with attempted humour and failed punch line

Honestly. I should try writing when the world's still basked in the glory of daylight instead of night time when the shitty assignments (and other unholy activities) have sapped the writing mood out of me. Ugh.

Feel free to criticize though. God knows my English is deteriorating (a certain slut could affirm this). Hopefully the next short passage/essay I post would be more worth reading.

Confused, much?

Sis found this song from some gossip webpage. It's so cute and bubbly! And the video reminds me of Lenka's 'The Show' :)

Confusion Girl - Frankmusik

Confusion girl never gives or takes
Tries to cover up all of her mistakes
Wanting to be someone else
Anything but herself

I know we had our ups and downs
At times I would act like the clown
But I never really knew you
I never really had a clue
I would always be the kind of guy
Who ran around for you cause that was fine
That wasn't enough for you
I never did the best I could

So leaving me was your first step
Now you try to move on and forget

Confusion girl never gives or takes
Tries to cover up all of her mistakes
Wanting to be someone else
Anything but herself
Cause you'll get the blame
You're part of her game
Get's one up
It's such a shame

You only call me up when you're alone
Not expecting my engaged tone
But this is what's meant to be
You're falling down away from me
Now my silence speaks a thousand words
You tore my world apart
But you never really heard
All the tears you made me cry
Now it's time to say goodbye

And leaving you behind is my first step
Now I'll try to move on and forget

Confusion girl never gives or takes
Tries to cover up all of her mistakes
Wanting to be someone else
Anything but herself
Cause you'll get the blame
You're part of her game
Get's one up
It's such a shame

Confusion girl
You're under her spell
But you won't know til the very end
This trick was just pretend

Confusion girl never gives or takes
Tries to cover up all of her mistakes
Wanting to be someone else
Anything but herself
Cause you'll get the blame
You're part of her game
Get's one up
It's such a shame

Just a thought: Must bubbly and staccato-ish songs be associated with human flying about in gravity-defying ways?

HELPineedsomebodyHELP

She had never liked the darkness.
More out of fear than loathe.
But this, this was different.
It was like a thick fog shrouding her in an air-tight embrace, claustrophobic.
Yet at the same time it made her feel detached, as if earth was suddenly devoid of gravity.
Help! Her mind screamed in agony.
But she knew the burden was solely hers to carry.
For now, she could only grope in the dark while the very core of her yearned for the white light.
It could probably turned out to be the harsh glare of a torchlight for all she cared.
At least she could leave this trauma behind.
I will find the way...I will find the way... I will find the way
She chanted herself to sleep.

could anyone decipher the underlying message?

Out of the Blue

Voila! My belated birthday present from parents :)
Awww....isn't it bee-you-tee-foool?

Felt so disappointed when dad told me the only colour left was black. But guess what? The salesman was colour-blind! Thank God! It's one of my favourite hues of blue! MIDNIGHT BLUE.

Isn't its blue eye pweeeeetty?

the Dawn of Dusk

So the 21st of May came and went, or more like whooshed by, and your much loved author here took the inevitable step into the Teenage Twilight Zone. With lesser fanfare than she had fantasied all her hormones-raging years.

You know, I had always imagined my 19th to be, not huge, but wild. Perhaps leaning towards impromptu-rendezvous-to-exotic places, karaoke...with the added spices of being entertained by a certain kNarnian...hints: Umbrella >:) + slumber party (without the slumber), or even picnic accompanied by loads of cam-whoring while getting caffeinated with Starbucks. Of course, what with the unexpected piles of assignments, heavy schedule and other shits of being a Degree student, I couldn't possibly believe things would turn out how I wished it could have been, no?

Nevertheless, the back-to-back celebrations were fawesome. Sumptous meals. Plentiful of cam-whoring sessions. Had a stitch in the stomach for L.O.L. Best of all, amazing and lovely company. And so, from the soles of my feet, I thank you for extracting a couple of hours of your time to celebrate and thus mark the end of my 18th, and the beginning of my 19th, year of life. Merci :)

21st May '09

Ha. Trust my luck to land my birthday on the most gruelling and dreaded day of the entire week. It was, and still is, that one day of the week when all accursed assignments of the past week are due. By the end of the day, you are either half-dozing with exhaustion or seething with annoyance and pent up frustration from the new assignments given throughout the day (mind you, our assignments are not just about keying 5000+ word essays, though I won't be ranting about that till another post).

So yesh, I hereby dedicate an extra THANK YOU to those who went for the dinner after choir, and before that, MIDI, Popular Music History, Music Tech and sectional practices (and some even had band practices) :

Wen Dee (See? I put your name first!)
Jia Wen
Huay May
Eunice
Irene
Phyllis (+ Pierz)
Stephen
Rachel
Kevin

I had been requested to add this: A special thank you to Wan Wen Dee for choosing and buying the chocolate cake with a hard icing surface that saved my face from being coated with chocolate after being smashed by Eunice. Twice.

(To Wen Dee) Hmm...just a fleeting thought: I know I sometimes sound like an old record player gone hair-wired when I think nobody's listening to me, but did I tell you how much I love chocolate cakes? Especially those that are filled with nothing but chocolate? If yes, thank you for listening...multiple times. If no, well done on the good guess :) Me LOVED the cake a lot.

Anyway, voila! Photos!
HA. I was in the process of sticking in my toothpick-Wolverine-claws (or whatever you call them).

I WAS surprised when Eunice brought out the cake, even if I got suspicious seeing Wen Dee's hand snuck around the doorway to shut off the lights.

Pweetty :)

Excuse me for bombarding this post with my self-potraits

No comments on what Kevin and Stephen were doing

It was supposed to look as if they were kissing...

Don't look at me for the embarrassing video. Ask the person who was sitting on my right.

Seriously, you can clearly point out where my nose and chin landed

22nd May '09

Met up with the sluts at the Curve for dinner after Modern Band Ensemble (well, it actually started with Coffee Bean, aka Cocaine Binge at 1U, but let's skip that part, shall we?) And because of the unique circumstance, we decided to break our freshly set budget and SPLURGED the night away!

Dinner venue: The Apartment

I love the ambiance there. Reminds me of Fun OK cafe near my college. But a sleeker version. It is like a shrunk house-turn-cafe. And there are real books too, at the 'library' sitting area. FOOD and BOOKS, tasty combination :)

Anyway, of all the places, we were seated at...the 'bathroom'. Partially literally, if you get my drift, since only a single wall was tiled and planted with toilet, erm, gadgets (you know, the shower, mirror, towel bar with a towel slung on it, toilet rolls, that sort of stuff). I would have preferred the 'balcony', or more to me like the 'porch', but I didn't think either of us would enjoy gasping for air everytime we wanted to talk or eat. One smoker was enough to deter us.

Strolling on the Street

Wandered around for a bit to digest off the food before our thirst made it impossible to ignore. And since I couldn't name a place to have our drinks, and desserts, they made me close my eyes and point to a cafe on the map. Blah. My finger landed only on non-coherent locations.

So we stoned. And stoned. And stoned. Until I came up with a name...Paddington House of Pancakes. I probably would have to stop spending for a week if we really ended up there. But fortunately, we stumbled upon California Cafe. Look what we had treated ourselves to:
Sinful indulgences

The ride home in Amanda's car was wicked! Rolled down the windows and blasted Lady Gaga's Poker to max volume while screeching the song to everyone within hearing distance around us. Annoying people is what we do best, no?

Love you sluts XOXO
