An Avril night

Finally! Something to tick off my wish list: Loosing my sanity, quite literally, at a concert with my sexy sluts! Woohoo!

Out of the 3 concerts I attended this year (though I'm not sure whether Chris Daughtry's is counted since it was free and he only appeared for an hour), I would definitely say that this is the best damn concert yet (as in overall)! It was totally wicked, meeting up with you sexies and bitching all night along and cam-whoring and going crazy all through the concert! Me love you guys so much!

Anyway, Amanda, Lucy and I took the LRT and met up with Joanna and Eu Chern at the KL Central, where we had our as-quick-as-possible dinner at McD. After that, we took the monorail and bitched all the way to the stadium, paused while we searched for Chee Kin and then continued when we found him in 1 of the long queues.
Me, Lucy and Amanda on the LRT

Jo and me on the monorail

About 7pm, the gates opened and in we went! At first I was so afraid that the guy guarding the gate would run an electronic scanner over me but he didn't! He didn't even bother to look into Amanda's handbag (we switched so that the pocket containing my camera would be covered)! Cheers to that!

In the stadium!

Why does everyone looks like they have slit eyes?

The chicks

Say it loud and say it proud, I'm at Avril's concert yo~

Amanda and the stage

Have you noticed Lucy's advertising photo here is the brighest (as in intensity of light, not level of intelligence) compared to the previous 2?

Some random mohawk-hair dude

Chee Kin is stoning away...

And then it rained. Thank goodness it wasn't THAT hard, but we put on the cheap garbage-bag-material-made raincoats given by the authorities, which were highly inconvenient and uncomfortable. It took me ages to figure out how to wear it and after I did, it stuck to my body like glue, thanks to the rain splattering on the outside and the layer of sweat on the inside.
If I were to have it on the whole night, I think I might have suffocated from the heat.

Use Colgate, for sparkling white teeth!

Fill in the blank: "Chee Kin is sticking his tongue out because __________"

I look no more horrendous than the rest of the rain-coat-donning people at the stadium

Joanna, Eu Chern, Chee Kin and his bro

Lucy's reaction to flash

No idea why Amanda decided to be sea-foodish all of a sudden

Fair to tan

Seriously, Eu Chern, that red patch looks like a recovering swell from a punch than an attack of an allergy

The yellow sluts...okay, that came out wrong...

Love the concert! We knew almost all of the song so we sang along throughout the whole concert (even if I didn't get the lyrics right). And we were standing all the way. It was as if everytime we wanted to sit down, Avril would sing an old song, like 'Complicated' or 'Sk8terboi', and we would be on our feet again, screaming the lyrics. Insane!

The crowd in the 98 bucks area were weird though. There was no sign of madness in them! What was wrong with those people?! All they did was wave that Hotlink oblong balloon thingy or a glowing stick in the air. So yeah, us 6, along with a couple of people in front of us, were the only ones standing and cheering and singing during the concert. Not much atmosphere, but it was great fun.

Unfortunately, the concert only lasted 1 and a half hour. I know, what the heck. It was unbelievably short. And there wasn't even any encore! Sheesh.

But all in all, it was an awesome night with you sexy people! Love you guys lots and I sure hope the next outing comes soon! Also, to those of you who are currently taking your exams or will be taking them soon, all the best to you! Here's a smack of my lips for good luck: muakz!

Of impromptu ventures

Ah, the thrill of spontaneous outings. Out of my 14 days of semester break, I've so far spent 3 days going on absolutely random, spur-of-the-moment dual (except for once) soirees to catch movies with my self-proclaimed-angelic twin, Amanda. Of course, these couldn't be done without the ability to drive AND the possession of a car. I mean Amanda, not me.

Anyway, as mentioned in my twin's post, the 2 of us went to 1U, the most convenient location, and watched 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' last Wednesday (20/8), which was a good laugh. Russell Brand was disgustingly sick in the movie and so were his songs, though I must say they were rather addictive. And thanks to Amanda kept singing his 'Inside of You' throughout our latest outing, the song is now imprinted onto my brains, with its partially sick lyrics.

Infant Sorrow (his band, in the movie)- Inside of You

It's addictive, I tell you

Saturday's (23/8) spontaneous outing didn't involve a movie, however, but it involved a certain person called Shien Yin, our 3rd Accomplice of Evil Doings. We had a long long long lunch at Seoul Garden, where Shien Yin performed a seemingly impossible task of non-stop eating. Then, coz Shien Yin wanted to finish up her assignment, we decided to follow her home instead of catching a movie, and ended up playing Pictionary (a board game) for the rest of the day.

Me and Shien Yin

Amanda and my sis (yeah, she invited herself)

And our latest outing on Tuesday (26/8) was all about movies again. This time it was 'Penelope', which I felt a little bad for watching coz Amanda watched it 4 times already. But I understood why. James McAvoy was hawt in there! I loved the way his hair fell over his eyes, making him looked almost boyish and slightly rugged. Much preferable than how he looked in 'Atonement' and 'The Chronicles of Narnia', where he was more or less unrecognisable acting as the Faun (I haven't watched his other movies yet).

Well, that's all for now. Time to get back to 'The High Lord'. Heehee. Akkarin Akkarin Akkarin...

Pissed off

Well done, Arts, Culture and Heritage Ministry. Well done.
You have officially MADE my day. A round of applause for you (do I sound sarcastic enough?).
Oh, why? Hmm...let's see...
You've ruined my mood instantaneously in a what-could-have-been-perfect day
You've ruined my ENTIRE 2-week semester break since the concert was the ONLY exciting agenda on my list
You've ruined my first ever FULL gathering with my sexy sluts (Jing Hua and Yeon Li can make it for the dinner!)
You've dashed my hopes of attending a concert with my FAVOURITE GANG
And, of course, you've just successfully pissed the fans of Avril, not to mention those of the other rock and pop stars, in this entire FREAKING nation.
What an accomplishment.
YOU FUCKTARDS.
I have no idea what your FUCKING problem with Avril is, but that doesn't give you the FUCKING right to FUCKING cancel the concert!
Why, how OPEN-MINDED you are. Sexy clothes, my ass.
Do you really think, with that minuscule brains of yours (oh wait, you probably don't have any), that the tweens and youngsters of this freaking nation will be more fueled with patriotism after BETRAYING all of us by CANCELING the concert?!
I feel so passionately patriotic now. NOT.
Here you are, heatedly talking about promoting Malaysia to the world and shit, but you've turned down 1 of the most talented, sweetest, best-selling, award-winning punk rock stars around. How much more of a fucktard can you be?!
And your fucking dumb move of fining the Pussycat Dolls a bloody 1 thousand ringgit (or was it more?) will probably cause the other artists to think twice before stepping onto Malaysia, like how Beyonce skipped our country and went to Singapore instead. Lucky bloody Singaporeans.
I know your eyes are small and squinty, but surely you can see that canceling Avril's concert will get you NOWHERE.
So, kindly take your FUCKING brains out of the freezer and deal with whatever issues you have with Avril. She DESERVES to perform and show us what she's got.

On dinners

On Wednesday's (13/8) dinner:
Thank you Khai Ma and Khai Pa for the lovely dinner! I had an AWESOME time =)

Hua Ying (my godbro), Bi Hua (my godsis), me, my sis and bro

Us + Ian (Hua Ying's Scottish friend)

Us + my godparents + my parents

On last night's dinner:
Went to 1 of our favourite seafood restaurants to celebrate my grandma's birthday. Had our promised prawns and crabs though they didn't taste as great as the ones on my granddad's birthday (Ying, I've told you butter-sauce crabs were better than cheese-flavoured crabs). Anyway, amazing! It was the first time ever we took more than 1 photo during the dinner! So voila~

My bro and maid, Auntie Dada

My cousin, Jia Hao, and their maid, Auntie Anna

Auntie Anna with my cousin, Hui Qing

My cousin, Hui Mei, me and my sis

My grandma and my cousins

Me, my grandma, Hui Mei and sis

After we got home, we had agar-agar and my bro dropped 1 onto the floor, which he picked it up and 'pasted' it to the under surface of the glass coffee table.

P.S. 4 papers down and 1 more to go! Wooohoooooo~
P.P.S. Kevin, I am NOT a study freak. Or you wouldn't see this post.

A random post. Again.

Call it an epiphany.
Call it a sudden surge of desire.
Call it a pang of nostalgia.
Call it whatever you want to.
But I've got to say this...I simply NEED to, WANT to, DESPERATELY HAVE to, K.A.R.A.O.K.E.
I have no inking whatsoever why, but the urge to sing out loud is here.
Probably it's because my bloody finals are wearing me down. Probably it's because my social life has been so freakishly dull and void of craziness. Probably it's because my room mate has moved in thus I can't express myself by singing along offtune-ly or dance about everytime I heard something I like on the radio. Or simply because I don't have a radio with me anymore.
I don't know...I was just running through my folders, trying to clear some junk, when I stumbled across a video of Chee Kin doing 'Umbrella' (Hell yeah I miss that). And then it hit me. I miss karaoke-ing with my sexy sluts. I miss 'warming up' with Wino's 'Rehab'. I miss singing 'Apologize' and other what Eu Chern called 'cheesy songs' with Amanda. I miss Chee Kin's oh-so-similiar rendition of Britney's 'Gimme More'. I miss screaming Bon Jovi's 'It's My Life' with Jojo. You know what? Let's have karaoke for our next outing! I'm sure 'Disturbia' and 'I Kiss A Girl' will be out by then...Heehee. OK...now I'm getting myself excited for no reason...
Anyway, here's the video I found on Chee Kin's 'Umbrella', which is the only karaoke video worth saving. Sowee Chee Kin...but the world's just got to see how good you are.

P.S. Daa, let's sing all the 'cheesy' songs again!

P.P.S. Jo, we need to TAKE TURNS to sing, 1 song per slut each round, and not hog the mic all the time. Now I know how it feels like when you're not given a chance to choose your songs to sing. It sucks and it's a waste of money. Anyway, I book Bon Jovi's 'It's My Life' with you again, ok?

P.P.P.S. Chee Kin, I promise the video I take of you next time will do you justice.

Work it out

Remember the oblong teddy bear I've brought to my hostel, for which I've asked you people to suggest a name? You see, it (there's no form of indication as which gender it might be) hasn't been moving about much since it started living in my hostel and has accumulated some fats over the months so I've decided to force it to work out, including 1 or 2 yoga poses.

Push-ups

Stretching

On the other side

The dog pose from yoga

It was supposed to do a head stand but the legs just wouldn't stay up

And some random photos of it...

It looks like a miniature teddy bear holding a name card

I've found out the actual size of it is...

10.5cm!

*Please be reminded that the author is going through her finals and is under a lot of stress, therefore her posts may seem illogical and non-sensical as she is losing her mind. Thank you.

Why so serious?

Thanks to my sis, who is irrevocably in love with Christian Bale, I was dragged to the cinemas to watch the much-awaited 'The Dark Knight', which is proclaimed to be the movie of the year. Yeah right...as if 'Twilight' isn't going to be a MAMMOTH hit (12th December: the rise of Twilight, the fall of Harry Potter).

But whatever. 'The Dark Knight' turned out to be way better than I ever thought possible, despite the warnings that it would be gruesome and stomach-churning. Alright, I'll admit, Christian Bale was hawt and sexy (at least in the movie and not now, having shaved his hair and grew facial hair), except when he donned his Batman suit and used that low, electronically-altered voice of his. And the fact that his character was filthy rich made him (like he's not going to be once the movie hit the top spot) even more appealing. But I love the Joker character too, so insane, yet ingenious. And he could be so violent and humorous at the same time. Hands down to the late Heath Ledger.

Anyway, before we entered the cinema, my sis and I cam-whored a bit with the effing High School Musical 3 life-size poster.

The original puke-making poster

My sis. She fitted in just nicely and so does her hairstyle.

Me doing a Vanexxa Hudgens after failing to do a Sharpay coz I simply wasn't tall enough. Oh, the agony!

Well, that was practically the only highlight of the day. The movie, I mean, not the bloody embarrassing photos. The Olympics opening ceremony was impressive though. Spent the whole night watching it (save the marching part) instead of finishing 'The Novice', which is the 2nd book of 'The Magician's Guild's' trilogy. I've got to complete it fast or by the time I started reading 'Breaking Dawn', my sis won't be able to resist it and blurt everything out, like she did with this very series I'm reading. Speaking of which, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT EVER MENTION ANY DETAIL, NOT MATTER HOW SMALL OR IRRELEVANT IT MAY SEEM, FROM BREAKING DAWN IN MY BLOG, WHICH INCLUDES BOTH COMMENT AND CHATBOX SECTIONS. PLEASE, I'M BEGGING YOU, AMANDA, DENISE OR WHOEVER WHO IS READING THE SAID BOOK. Your cooperation is highly, extremely, eminently appreciated. Thank you.

And now, for some spoofs I've accidentally unearthed at youtube.

The original trailer

"You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain"

Hope you had a good laugh!

Bon Voyage, choir!

Today was our choir performance and also our last choir class for the semester! Cheers! Honestly, choir would be much more enjoyable if everyone actually CHOSE to be in it and not forced into it. I'll admit, I've looked forward to the choir practices almost everytime (save during exam period) but I would always end up disappointed when I saw people's reaction towards the songs given. All everyone did is complained and fussed and never tried to appreciate choir as something different from the music we listen to. Haihz...I miss the good old days of CHS Choir, 1 of the 2 reasons I miss high school (the other being my social life).

Anyway, the performance was just a short one (a mere 45 minutes), probably for the sake of making full use of the songs we've learnt, with us Big Choir alternating with the Chamber Choir every 2 songs. It started off with us singing 2 English songs, followed by Chamber Choir, then us again with 2 Italian songs, after that the Chamber Choir for the last time, then us closing the concert with 2 Malay songs. So, it was like,

Big Choir
1. Beautiful Dreamer (the opening of the song was written poorly)
2. Gonna Build A Mountain (it still sounded like a children's song to me)
Chamber Choir
Sorry, I don't know the titles
Big Choir
3. Laudate Dominum
4. Laudate Pueri (or was it Peuri?)
Chamber Choir
??
Big Choir
5. Di Tanjung Katong (serene sounding melody but non-sensical lyrics)
6. Glimpse of Malaysia (LOVE the 'Geylang Si Paku Geylang' arrangement)

The annoying thing was, each of us was required to bring a friend to the performance and to prove that you'd brought a friend, he/she had to register under your name. What the heck?! Sadly, my whole family didn't want to come (mom claimed it would be too jammed up thanks to the Malaysia's freaking longest pasar malam and she wanted to attend her yoga class) and my room mate went out with her sister (not that I blame her) so out of the 3 attendances taken, 1 of them had to have a pitiful 0 marked =( Oh well.

Here's a short clip taken of our last Malay song. I don't know why it suddenly stopped near the end of the 3rd song, which was my favourite song of all! Crap.

And some photos...In the Auditorium during row call. The Recital Hall where we performed looks exactly the same except that the seats are red in colour.

Bi Ying, Hui Yin (our lecturers used to get our names mixed up), Jin Fem and me. Thank goodness Joyce (between Bi Ying and Hui Yin) didn't bother to join us for this photo, I would have died of agony.

Us girls with the president, Eileen, in the centre

Eunice (on the phone), me, Song Lin, Emmanuel and Phyllis

Group photo! Too bad Joyce had plonk herself down beside me when we clearly wished she didn't join us. See that disturbing black splotch there? Yerp, that was her. If only I had only thought of a way of making her bent down when the photo was taken, like make her hair clip fall...

Now I'm freaking exhausted and drowsy but I can't possibly sleep unless I intend to fail Malaysian Studies and waste another bloody RM180 to retake the subject in the next semester. Gah. Ms ******'s (her name is being protected for her security sake) tips better be accurate or I'll...I'll...heck knows what I'll be able to do..

Sluts Gone Wild Slumber Paaartay!

Really sorry my sexy sluts, but I can't possibly blog in full detail of our crazy 2 day/1 night booze-filled (well, not that much) slumber party at Chee Kin's coz Malaysian Studies exam (screw it) is on freaking Thursday and I still have tons to stuff into my brains (Procrastination and I are best of friends). I promise I'll write it out in details, including the gory ones, when my finals are over. Blogging about our SLUT outings definitely worth my time. However, I've uploaded the photos.

Want a piece of me?

Yeah, screw you too, Yeon!

At T.G.I.F. Seriously, if the people around us had it their way, we would have been kicked out due to our obscene conversations...
I knew there was something going on between those 2...
Getting intimate...
