Of last Friday's (attempted) scrapbooking session

Mission of scrapbooking declared failed. End up turning it into a feasting session: money flowed like martini down an alcoholic's. But it was a helluva fun =) Hadn't laughed that hard for weeks, since the KLCC rendezvous. Miss that feeling of detachment from the rest of the world. An escapism from the workload that had been piling upon me for the past 30 days. But freedom is just an arm's reach, hell yeah! In fact, my hand- and foot-cuff will be unlocked at 10.15am sharp next Monday (April the 13th)! Cheers, y'all!

Anyway, didn't cam-whore as much as we usually do. Guess cam-whoring isn't as intoxicating as when everyone was present. Or we were just too busy getting distracted. Seriously. I swear, the 5 of us had a concentration span of only 5 seconds. The most is a full minute. There were times when a person hadn't even finish spitting out a sentence when all of our eyes would focus on something bizarre in the distance and the topic would change. Immediately. Just like that. Sheesh.

But we did manage to take some photos. Busy being distracted as we were.

At least you can discern who's who in the pic

The chauffeur of the day. Yet again. (well I DID suggest we could walk to 1U, not that I'm complaining about Amanda driving us there)

Cheers to the bottomless drinks!

The long-lost-out-of-communication-reach Chee Kin, Eu Chern and Joanna

"Don't you dare touch my corn!"

"Oh shut up. Give me back MY corn!"

"Not unless I bite it first!"

"Oh I'll just lick it then!"

"Hey, it's mineeeeee!"

OK. That was lame.

>:-/

Kimora put her cam-whore skills to good use
Can you believe this is actually her first attempt? Well, at least the first using the flash.

Pweeeeeetty me love =)

Point to ponder: What should we do for our multi-purpose birthday bash?

Think hard or you might as well not think at all. Nah. Just kidding.

P.S. Sorry about the photos, sexies. Got too excited and titillated to print them out. Should have waited for you people =(

P.P.S. On a random note, it's time for me to change my blog template once again. My mood says so.

A real update in weeks

Monday (23/3):
Was in a F.O.U.L. mood during imMoral studies. He may not know it but I spent the entire time, before and after presentation, struggling to avoid eye contact with him. I swear, I could have screeched at him if I did. Or at least stared at him with such wrath-filled intensity that there would be nothing but 2 burnt out sockets left by the end of class. And not just him. 2 or 3 more people as well.

I mean, I get it. You had band practices. You had stuff to do. You were not around the whole night. Everyone had plans. You think I didn't? You think I didn't have to practice for my recital? You think I didn't have a job as well, with my boss breathing down my neck all the time (fine, she didn't but I did have a tight deadline to meet)? You think I didn't crave to go out for a movie? You think I was so fucking free that I was begging for an imMoral ASSignment to fall onto my lap? You think I ENJOY scrutinizing at the computer screen for 10 fucking hours straight, desperately trying to finish up the whole bloody project all by myself just because certain people didn't even bother to send me their parts of the ASSignment until it was too late?

Well done, I must say. You MASTERFULLY and BRILLIANTLY ruined my entire weekend. Do you know how close I was to...nevermind. Forget it. This was probably my bad karma. I myself didn't help out much during the first term's Malaysian studies.

Tuesday (24/3):
Slipped into a relatively good mood. Partially due to the awesome lunch my grandparents took me to. Mostly because of Map of Bones. Nothing makes me more titillated than a novel. Music only eases my bad mood temporarily. Books simply erase it.

Wednesday (25/3):
Did a belated Q&A session for Monday's imMoral presentation. Guess who hogged the mic again?Half of me was elated of being under the spotlight. The other half urged to shove the mic to the rest of the group so that the lecturer would know the true brains behind the ASSignment from their incapability in answering the questions.  I still wished I had done that.

Anger makes me spiteful.

Thursday (26/3):
Went grocery-shopping at Giant with Joanne and got stranded there when it started raining. We must have been such a funny sight, 2 girls lugging 2 plastic bag full of vegetables and wandering aimlessly around the more-or-less deserted mall. It was a while before Joanne got hold of her friend and pleaded for him to fetch us back. And he did.

My gratitude again, I-can't-remember-your-name. We would have arrived back at the hostel at least an hour later if you hadn't picked us up.

Friday (27/3):
Had my very first recital performance =) I guess I did OK. Loads of slipped notes.

Ended around 2pm. A whole throng of us went to McD for lunch, then to CC for a couple of rounds of Left 4 Dead.

I miss my college friends. Seriously, it seems as if my almost barenaked schedule stripped me of my social life as well. How sad is that that you don't see your college mates not because of clashed classes, but due to LACK of classes? Oh well. Can't wait till next semester! Teehee =)

P.S. Any posts with photos will be updated later. The connection here is too damned to allow me to upload them at a rate that won't make you pull your hair in frustration.

Music that defines your intelligience

CalTech grad student named Virgil Griffith has conducted an interesting (albeit somewhat unscientific) study relating music preferences with SAT scores. While SAT scores are criticized for not accurately determining intelligence, the results show that the 'smartest' students’ favorite musician is Beethoven, with an average SAT score of 1371, and at the other end of the spectrum is Lil’ Wayne, with an average score of 889.

Other bands at the top of the scale are Counting Crows, Radiohead, and Sufjan Stevens.

Surprisingly, no style of music stands out above the rest, but rather most bands fit within the 1000 to 1150 score range. Another question is whether music can be legitimately associated with smarts.

Points to ponder: Does intelligence choose the band? Or does music define how smart we become? Where do your favorite bands appear? Do you think that music can make you dumb?

It's Lonely Island, y'all!

We Like Sportz

I'm On A Boat (ft. T-Pain)

Catch the lyrics. It's non-sensical but in a way that makes you laugh.

The funny thing about Lonely Island is, even if it's a 3-man band, every video only features 2 of them. Sure, the third person is there, but his purpose is just to blend into the background.

P.S. Oh my God! I didn't know Lonely Island made their debut through a MOVIE! Well, Akiva wasn't exactly in the trailer, only Andy and Jorma, but still! OoOOoOooooo...gonna go download it! Since it was out last August, I'm sure it's available online. Watch the trailer! It somehow reminds me of Ashton Kutcher's 'Dude, where's my car?' movie. Retarded but hilarious.

Random photos

Since SOMEONE was going on and on and on and on and on and on and...you get my drift, about how I'm turning into Closet Guy (dying off from the world, but in blog version), whose identity is confidential, so here's my update. Truth be told, I WAS about to update, just as soon as I got the photos from Amanda and completed penning that farousing poem.

Of Friday rendezvous
Other than the first 9 photos which were taken yesterday (6th March), I honestly can't recall the dates of the rest. But I do remember this: they were taken on Fridays (hence the title, duh).

At The Gardens in 1U

THIS is how you take a photo, Eu Chern. Not like the top one.
