It's been a while

Damn. It took me almost 2 months to complete this poem, thanks to all those treacherous ASSignments and exams. Whatever. Here it is!

22nd February
Another episode of Sluts Gone Wild

Once again the sluts are in the city,
Not binging on cocaine or shopping spree,
But feasting with mother nature, I know,
Absurd, this new addiction of us ho's.

Daa's cupcakes aroused sugary delight,
Eu Chern thrived on junk, such fervid invite,
Jo fished up drinks from her day at the beach,
Jing Hua stuffed ham in bread to make sandwich.

Ying Hui was being French with her croissants,
Chee Kin supplied J.Co that turned us on,
And so sat the sluts at the Square Table,
Bitching about...shh...it's confidential.

Where was the last slut, you ponder and urge,
Lucy had to be holy at the church,
Meanwhile a certain slut had lost control,
Began moaning Supermassive Black Hole.

This titillated two more to holler,
"Ooo baby, don't you know I suffe-er?"
While the other three went hysterical,
Passerby cringed and thought, "Are they mental?"

Fogged by ecstasy, they lost track of time,
Heedless until Jing Hua suddenly chimed,
"I have ten more minutes before leaving",
Which shook the sluts and sent them panicking.

Thus the sluts unleashed their cam-whore talent,
Seek to conquer all land, none left barren,
The traces of jizz caused grieve and despair,
As parents try to guard their precious heir.

Cohorts: Eu Chern, Jing Hua (standing), Joanna, Amanda, me, Chee Kin

Accessorising Mr. Truck with our sexiness

Bollywood, much?

Ahem.

Chee Kin's looking pretty proud of himself for scoring a lady, even one that's taller than him

Jing Hua doing her individual photo shoot before leaving

Strived on tainting the innocents, they were,
Strutted poses that even Tyre would purr,
But as the clock struck eleven thirty,
Jing Hua was acquiesced to leave the soiree.

Possessed, the sluts refused to sequester,
Upon the minions they flexed their power,
Monkey bars, slides and those play sets with spring,
It was with pleasure they tarnished these things.

Surfing without water

Man-made Twin Tower. Literally.

Suddenly, Amanda, Eu Chern and Chee Kin suggested a preposterous idea: take a break! *Disgusted look* What a waste of time! So me and Joanna ran off on our own to cam-whore.
Weeee...

Down, down the pole

And we found out our blouses were colour-coordinated with the play sets! Indeed, ecstasy blinded our observation skills.
Yellow!

Purple!

Meanwhile, the other 3 were busy honing their cam-whoring skills as well...

They finally caught up with their breaths and decided to join us...for monkey bars!

Is it just me, or does Chee Kin really look like he was on crack?

She does this effortlessly time after time. No fair.

I couldn't just sit there and let them claim all the glory. So I attempted the monkey bar myself.

And failed miserably... =(

So, Joanna decided to lend me a hand...
All of us literally fell to the floor laughing.

Then, the cam-whore spree continued...
Going Bollywood again?

What curiosity could do to you...

*Poof* Down they plunged into the 'chasm'

Ah. The perfect photo shoot location. Free of irking urchins. Plus, it gave our photos a sophisticated background. At least compared to any other play sets in the entire park.

Kimora and her willowy figure and killer long legs.

What watching too much ANTM did to Eu Chern

Chee Kin modelling for Quicksilver

Pweetty Amanda. She's always so photogenic.

Yours truly.

It wasn't long before we were dehydrated. So back to camp base we went.
"Hey, sexy."

"Yeah?"

*Explodes with ear-piercing laughter* AHAHAHA.

"WHAT?!"

Ying Hui shut up and concentrated on draining her drink...

...until Amanda took out her blue scarf.

High School Musical much?

Blue blue water...

Ring-around-the-tree

HAHA.

The time came when Chee Kin had to take flight,
Off with his doughnuts which they did not bite,
Then who should arrive but Lucy, at last,
Cam-whoring again? Yes, it was a must.

Princess Lucy

We took Lucy to meet Mr. Truck!

Amanda stranded all alone on the single slide...

Walking the pirate plank?

Us chicks

Showing off her skills once again

The patch of sweat visible on Joanna's blouse was too prominent not to ignore

Lunch at the food court

On the LRT...

Sexy sluts on board

Right. I had no inkling whatsoeverwhen exactly this photo was taken.

And so the sluts spent a day in the park,
Under the sun, they roasted themselves dark,
Nonetheless the fete was a success,
Hmm...we wonder, where should we vanquish next?

Ying Hui

Jury wha?

13th of April - A wild, unleashed screaming banshee was spotted in the relatively peaceful neighbourhood of Bandar Utama this evening around 4pm.

The reason that caused the screeching still remains unclear though it was reported by the local residents that a high-pitched shouting begun as soon as a red Toyota car was seen driving through the gates of one of the houses. It was rumoured that the unidentified creature had just returned from a certain college of hers in the area of Cheras, which may be the very explanation for the disturbing shrieking brought on.

Authorities are currently working on uncovering the identity of the seemingly mentally-challeged being.

**********************************************************

Meanwhile, a muted squealling continues in the room of yours truly.

AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
FRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!

The whole pile of practices.
The whole heap of memorisation.
The whole stash of worries.
All boiled down to......10 MINUTES of examination.

Whoa. That was worth the stress (can you read the underlying current of sarcasm?).

Anyway, performance was satisfactory, nothing to sing and dance about. Other than the fact that I won't have to see the 3 pieces for as long as I want to. Blue Bossa, my least favourite (I was never a fan of jazz and swing, especially not when I'm the performer), was a disaster. Pressed the first wrong chord at the mere second bar. Had me freaked out for a full minute before regaining control. Screw my stage fright (in the sense that I had an audience, the judges, listening to me play). Here, There and Everywhere, by Beatles, was more on minor slips, though I managed to cover them up. I THINK. The closest I could get to perfection was Through the Kaleidoscope, by Steven Cravis, which was understandable since it was a written piece (equals to no improvisation) and, unlike the 2 former songs, I started playing it more or less 365 days ago. All in all, I don't know...skimming just above the Pass line? Oh well. Que Sera, Sera. What will be, will be.

Afternoon was spent on L4D. Again. This time it was with Jia Wen, Wen Dee, Rachel, Kevin and Andrew. Don't think I had improved much since the last time I played but it was wickedly fun. Can't wait to see you people during our sem break, which mine officially begins today!

P.S. Amanda, darling! I demand for David A's concert photos now! My fingers are itching to paste them up for the world to see!

P.P.S. In the meantime, hear these songs out. They are fucking awesome!

Rant

Ah. Finally the smooth surface of keyboard under my fingertips. The damned Internet connection in college had been denying me of my access to this sinfully indulging virtual world. Can't believe I have to pay for that crappy wi-fi. I mean, I can't even RANT through my blog (have I told you I express myself, usually anger or frustration, through words 99.99% of the time?)! And now my bottle is so full that I simply need to unscrew the cork. OK. That came out wrong.

Anyway, it had been a bee-bee-busy week. Seriously. All I did was rush rUSh RUSH for things that, if given a choice, I wouldn't give a shit about. Except for the first 2 ASSignments. Or more like duties. Or whatever you call it. I'm too lazy to check the thesaurus.

So, Monday. Once successfully found an empty piano room (it's literally an impossible task during peak hours), spent the whole time training my fingers to heed my brain signals to play the closest-to-perfect scales without fumbles or slips. Scales assessment and sight-reading test was at 6.30pm. Thank God it was done by our respective Major class lecturers. I would have been fried if it wasn't. Well, the scales and arpeggios weren't a problem, though I'm still not confident about my Minor 6th. But, hell, my sight-reading was a stinking pile of poo. My written piece sight-reading was so-so, having done it for years now. The other one still makes me cringe thinking about it. I already hate sight-reading as it is, but apparently, as a Contemporary Music student, I had to be put through an extra custom-designed torture: Sight-reading with IMPROVISATION. On the dot. To the music-illiterate, it means only a single melody line will be provided, I would have to add the left-hand part on my own according to the style stated (e.g. bossa nova, jazz, swing) PLUS include an introduction AND a solo part AND an ending. I S.C.R.E.W.E.D. U.P. Gah. Don't want to think about it. It's now just a big blotch of black black ink on the otherwise clean paper of that day's exam.

Haha. This is just the beginning of the rant. You are encouraged to stop reading. Seriously.

OK. That night, rather than feeling all relief and celebrating by reading my Map of Bones, I had to rush for my composition, which was quite impossible since I was already in my hostel, far far away from the piano in Block C. So, I just scribbled some notes according to the off-tune imaginary piano in my mind. In the end, I spent the time typing the attendance list for choir sectional practice. And here was the confusing part, since when did paper work, one that involves the attendance, become a treasurer's job? I mean, I still could split the burden amongst the sectional leaders, but that would take time, and time was definitely something I didn't have. Not with choir rehearsal looming 1 and a half day away. And given the condition of the Internet at the hostel these days, receiving files from them would be off-limits, even if they managed to complete it in time. So, yeah.

*I miss CHS Choir, where there was a defined line drawn between the jobs of the post. As the assistance treasurer, my work revolved around money and only money, nothing more, nothing less. Of course, my post as Soprano sectional leader was another case.*

Right. As I was saying, I had to hand in my song composition ASSignment on Tuesday, so spent loads of time that day itself trying to mold it to resemble a comprehensive song. Lecturer left the college before I could pass it up =) So I put it at her pigeon hole in the music office. By the time she sees it, it'll probably be next semester, during which I won't be taking composition anymore (drums, perhaps?)

After my daily routine of practising (piano and viola) till 10pm, I burnt the midnight oil to sift through the whole bloody stash of sectional attendance lists. Just so you know, it was an excruciatingly painful job. Half of them wasn't even fucking DATED. Seriously. Was writing 4 or 5 numbers that fucking hard?! AND, at least for Soprano's, those that WERE dated, a quarter of them didn't make any sense! One week, there was only 1 sectional practice, then in the following week, there were 2. I mean, what am supposed to do? Add an extra list to fill in the inexplicable absentees? Or better still, cancel off that whole week and tell Ms. Rachel there weren't practices that week due to unforeseen circumstances?! Ugh. This choir seriously needs help. OK. Maybe it's just Soprano.

Anyway, Tuesday done seething in fury over the incomplete lists (I ended up changing various dates, if Ms. Rachel asked anything, I would just non-chalantly point my finger to the head of Soprano). Woke up early on Wednesday to print them out. Oh. And guess what? 8 hours later, I was told there was no need for the freaking lists with ticks and crosses. She just wanted lists stating the number of absences. That was all. Name. ID No. Number of absences. *Eyes narrowed to slits*

Aha. Ahaha.

I simply passed the 4 sectional attendance lists to the respective leaders while I took to care for the overall list with 83 people. Call me stupid. But to be frank, I think I have a crucial problem of not trusting others to do the job well. Hey, you can't blame me. 2 times I led a group for an ASSignment, twice I ended up doing it on my own coz my members didn't find plagiarism wrong (they simply copied and pasted the whole piece of work from the web page and sent it to me. Honestly, did they even understand the consequences if we were caught plagiarising?) and a lot of them (not all though) didn't give a damn whether what they wrote made sense or not (I got a feeling they interpreted "I'll do the editing" to "Just write crap. I'll cover up everything for you by helping you do the research and complete the whole ASSignment"). Most of them looked extremely please with themselves when handing me their part of the project.

Moving on. Wendesday night was spent on finishing up the absentees lists for Ms. Rachel and making whatever changes requested by Lai Jiunn to the draft for the booklets for the choir concert the next day. Once done, it suddenly hit me I hadn't even started studying for imMoral Studies exam on Friday. And so I began cramming the pro- and against death penalty arguments and other puny facts into my brains. Succumbed to sleep a little over 2am. Or was it later?

Thursday was a helluva day. Both good and bad. Gathered people in the morning to help put together the 200 printed sheets into booklets. It was way fun. More than 10 of us squeezed into a dead end-corridor (containing 5 practice rooms), sat on the floor, me and Wen Dee with our shoes off, and slaved away, sorting the pages and stapling them in the centre. Jia Wai called us the China factory. Haha.

Then, to celebrate the clearance of the dark cloud and to eat the time before choir rehearsal, a couple of us went to CC again for L4D. LoLz. I'm still not that addicted to the game, not like all of them, but I enjoy hanging out with these people, especially in large groups. We went for tea straight after, during which Wen Dee and I actually kept our promise and did a little revision for imMoral. Oh. I totally blanked out about the printing the attendance list for Ms. Rachel. Until when we got back to college to get 1 or 2 of the cars so that we could drive to the Bak Kut Teh shop. Sadly, by the time I was done with the bloody list (fucking library computer ran out of ink, wasted 3 papers of mine before I printed it through another desktop), we only had half an hour left. That 30 minutes were used on bathing. Dinner had to wait till 7pm, when my parents arrived early to give me my choir outfit (your friend here loves to procrastinate, thus leaving out the most important clothing for the week while packing). Boo.

End of rant. The next paragraph is going to be a happy one.

The performance was magnificanto! At least the last 2 African folk song: Oye (pronounced as 'oh yeah') and Dubula. I honestly enjoyed myself onstage =) Didn't we all?

Whoa. Someone actually chucked this onto youtube immediately after the concert. I'll try to get the 2 last songs. They were the best of the night. Meanwhile...

Of last Friday's (attempted) scrapbooking session

Mission of scrapbooking declared failed. End up turning it into a feasting session: money flowed like martini down an alcoholic's. But it was a helluva fun =) Hadn't laughed that hard for weeks, since the KLCC rendezvous. Miss that feeling of detachment from the rest of the world. An escapism from the workload that had been piling upon me for the past 30 days. But freedom is just an arm's reach, hell yeah! In fact, my hand- and foot-cuff will be unlocked at 10.15am sharp next Monday (April the 13th)! Cheers, y'all!

Anyway, didn't cam-whore as much as we usually do. Guess cam-whoring isn't as intoxicating as when everyone was present. Or we were just too busy getting distracted. Seriously. I swear, the 5 of us had a concentration span of only 5 seconds. The most is a full minute. There were times when a person hadn't even finish spitting out a sentence when all of our eyes would focus on something bizarre in the distance and the topic would change. Immediately. Just like that. Sheesh.

But we did manage to take some photos. Busy being distracted as we were.

At least you can discern who's who in the pic

The chauffeur of the day. Yet again. (well I DID suggest we could walk to 1U, not that I'm complaining about Amanda driving us there)

Cheers to the bottomless drinks!

The long-lost-out-of-communication-reach Chee Kin, Eu Chern and Joanna

"Don't you dare touch my corn!"

"Oh shut up. Give me back MY corn!"

"Not unless I bite it first!"

"Oh I'll just lick it then!"

"Hey, it's mineeeeee!"

OK. That was lame.

>:-/

Kimora put her cam-whore skills to good use
Can you believe this is actually her first attempt? Well, at least the first using the flash.

Pweeeeeetty me love =)

Point to ponder: What should we do for our multi-purpose birthday bash?

Think hard or you might as well not think at all. Nah. Just kidding.

P.S. Sorry about the photos, sexies. Got too excited and titillated to print them out. Should have waited for you people =(

P.P.S. On a random note, it's time for me to change my blog template once again. My mood says so.
