Dreams are there to show you the way
Tristan showed me this while we were in the midst of arranging our notes for our Satok Market article.

Change the colours of the sky
"BTW, we're running your Free Fall piece under The Gap this Sunday.
It's very well written."
Thank you, The Star, for making my day (:
I promise I'll try my best to find you a suitable writer for the article you requested.

What would you think if I sang out of tune? Would you stand and walk out on me?
All I can remember from Prince of Persia is Jake Gyllenhaal's beautiful face.
Alright. So the plot had some credible twists and turns and surprises, with an almost-over-the-edge dosage of dilemmas and unfortunate struck of fate (considering the fact it WAS a Disney movie, I'd lowered my expectations). I did notice one thing, though, and it was the manner of resolving a conflict. You know, after all those breath-taking stop-time scenes, during which the ghost of the bearer fluttered back past seconds, the glowing sands swished across the paths taken, an airy sigh accompanied the ritardando movements of the subjects involved and the effects in between, it just suddenly ended. Someone was saved. Or killed. In a blink of an eye. I couldn't even catch any flicker of emotion. It was as if the director realized he extended the time travelling moments longer than he intended and had to immediately get rid of that particular stage of event before the film rolled out.
Hmmm. Personally, I thought the director's biggest attribute was capturing Jake's best angle. Unlike some movies where the actor's features seemed distorted or unflatteringly fatten up in some scenes, Jake Gyllenhaal looked flawlessly pulchritudinous throughout the entire show. Especially the zoom-ins. His smile made my day (:
If I were Schuyler Van Alen, Jake Gyllenhaal would HAVE to be my human familiar. (Unless you're Amanda or have read the Blue Bloods series, this sentence wouldn't make much sense)

He reminded me of Jared Leto, that front man from 30 Seconds to Mars. And somehow I like guys with rugged, disheveled appearance. Probably because they don't come across as snobby? Don't know. And I don't bother to, either.
Just a thought, why were the Persians speaking English and carrying a British accent?

P.S. To answer my mom's question, yes, it was worth the trouble of waking up early to attend the morning slot for Improvisation Skills so that I could leave after band coaching, waiting for an eternity for the shuttle bus to arrive and fighting for breathing space in an overloaded KTM train ride.
P.P.S I seem to be owing Amanda more and more money as the days pass.

All that I know is I'm breathing now
I could resist it no longer.
Because I love falling in love with drop-dead gorgeous, swoon-worthy, angelic paper-and-ink male lead characters.
The scent of words is far too empowering and intoxicating.
Blue Bloods has lured me into its paper arms.
Screw practices. I need to live life.
You know what the best part is?
The mushy feeling of finally coming home again, after journeying into the realms of science-fiction, fiction, memoir, chick lit and romance.
Yes, I'm a native of the Land of Fantasy.
Because I love the way it keeps the flames of my inner child burning.
Because I love how it teaches me ideas I never could have dreamed of.
Because I love the possibility of impossibility.
Where will my voyage through your world take me this time?
I'm waiting for you to make me smile. And I know you will.

Wesak dawn has paced in softly, tiptoed through the moonlit night.
I conducted a children hymn-singing group this morning.
It turned out much more satisfying, to my sis's standard, than during the rehearsal.
But I probably could have done better.
"I like what the jie jie was doing in front." And the little girl pointed her hands at me while waving them wildly to indicate my conducting. Awww. Shu Faye (this may not be the correct spelling of her name), you made my day (:

I was born to tell you, I love you.
There was Amanda the Evil Twin,
And Shi Ning who was always shining,
There was Jo the French enthusiast,
And Shien Yin the psychic psychopath.
Along with the blue freak birthday girl,
The five strutted their way to the Curve,
What else to do but karaoke,
And scrub their hands to Sorry Sorry.
While they answered Gaga’s Telephone call,
Ying Hui was shoved behind a toilet stall,
Into the dress Daa and Shien Yin got her,
Which made them go, “That’s so Gossip Girl.”
Amanda, aka Daa, aka Bonono
Shi Ning
Joanna
Shien Yin
Kitschen dress from Amanda and Shien Yin (:
God knows what I was singing.
Soon their singing stint came to an end,
Bored, they went to rake Amanda’s den,
Once there, they had their dresses put on,
For Ying Hui ordered for jeans to be gone.
They were stoning till their eyes were sore,
When Daa brought Nikki out to cam-whore,
Across the bed and by the window,
They took an endless stream of photos.
On the bed
By the window
Random locations in the room
Then it was time to feast at Ying Hui’s,
For her mum called to say they were late,
In the garden, they took some last shots,
Which they seemed like were in a resort.
Kevin is the stick. Haha.
They arrived first, though without Shi Ning,
And waited for the two to stride in,
From Eu and Jing, Ying Hui received another dress,
Silk and lace in the crepe paper nest.
Let’s rock the place down, now that the guests were complete,
You call it a birthday party, I call it a celebration of friendship.
Jing Hua and Eu Chern
Sis was forced to changed into a dress as well
Why I entertained the freak, I had no idea.
Guess I wasn't the only one
Well, at least you survived my sis' torture session, Shien Yin.
Our explanation on why Lady Gaga is satanic.
Belated birthday present from my bro (he was away at some IMO training camp)
Chopin's Fantasia Impromptu, I think.
Shien Yin: Whaddaya want?
Eu Chern: Look, I've just scored myself 2 chicks!
Ying Hui: I'm drunk. If provoked, it's war.
TWO PIECE
Woohoo. Amanda and her vampire friend.
When I was 13, I had a mouth of braces.
There was all kinds of food stuck in my teeth.
I couldn't get them out because they were stuck in the spaces!
Thank you
for making
my day!
Less Than Three
all of you <3
Truly, I am blessed (:
