There was a moment of reminiscence, there was a moment of peeking into the future,
But there was also just living the moment.
There was a moment of euphoria, there was a moment of melancholy,
But there was also a moment void of any.
There was a moment of lucidity, there was a moment of absurdity,
But most of all, there was an unyielding fondness and love.
Yes. It's for you sizzling sluts.
I know. My creative juice is at a critically low level. And my capability of producing A-list poems is zilch. But I'm working on it. So bear with me.

Whatever I Like - Barack Obama
This is some wickedly awesome parody of 'Whatever You Like' by some dude that look suspiciously like Obama himself.
First black prez
Ain't that nice,
I'm in the highest office that's right!
Now I can do whatever I like
Now I can do whatever I like
yeahhhh
So what I'm half black and half white
So what I fist bump with my wife
Man, I can do whatever I like
I can do whatever I like
McCain I thought that you knew
By debate number two
That I was gonna win and there was nothing
That you could do
You got so upset by the third debate
I swear to god I think I saw tear,
LOOK
I picked Joe Biden
Now this ones riding
Long as ya'll got me you wont need nobody
You want it I got it
Propose it, I'll sign it
Tell them republicans BE QUIET
First black prez
Ain't that nice,
I'm in the highest office that's right!
Now I can do whatever I like
So what I'm half black and half white
So what I fist bump with my wife
Man I can do whatever I like
Man I can do whatever I like
Palin was the hottest
MESS that ran for office
She spoke so odd
Could've swore it was a comic skit.
She got people excited
But still she couldn't stop this
I won all three debates
If you got it Then you got it!
Now I'm trying to put money back in your wallet
So as I fix this financial crisis
There's a long list
Of things I really gotta fix
Like no more shady health care
YOU can get what I get.
My country can have what it wants.
McCain can have a seat and think about what he did wrong
I know you ain't never have a prez like that
That gives amazing speeches then turns around and raps!
I picked Joe Biden
Now this ones riding
Long as ya'll got me you wont need nobody
You want it I got it
Propose it, I'll sign it
Tell them republicans BE QUIET
First black prez
Ain't that nice,

Man I can do whatever I like
I'm talking Black prez rides
And black prez ice
Fo at least the next fo years that's tight
America's upset
And I'm just right
Time to put this black prez in yo life
THAT'S RIGHT

On the Lord of the Rings concert (20th December)
Never thought the Lord of the Rings concert could end on such a frustrating tone. Don't get me wrong, the performance itself was astonishingly enrapturing (I didn't even yawn once throughout the 2 and a half hour, a first on my long list of MPO concerts). And the whole time before we entered the Philharmonic hall was way cool, just the 3 of us wandering aimlessly and crapping our heads off. Too bad the friggin' LRT ticket machine had to ruin our, otherwise perfect, soiree at the end of the day! Pfft!
Dinner was fab, including the food. Ordered myself a smoked salmon sandwich with a croissant bread and we bitched about Bono, Divine andboisterously. Even if our volume wasn't as loud as usual but we still did make a couple of heads turned. Yay for us!
It's ALIVE!
"Any last words?" said Eu-know-who to his whatever-flavour-that-was spaghetti
Kimora in Delifrance
Dropped by the cold storage, Kinokuniya, Esprit, and some other way-above-our-range shops before speeding back to the hall coz I thought we were going to be late and be denied our entrance. Well, it WAS 8.25pm and we were supposed to be seated by 8.15pm. But typically, there was a considerably big crowd still lingering in the lobby and just outside the mahogany double doors, though I wasn't quite sure what were they waiting for. Of course, 99.9% of the said crowd was made up of locals, with most of them Chinese, including the 3 of us.
Anyway, let's just skip that embarrassing fact and go straight to the concert itself. As I stated above, it was exceptionally spellbinding. The music from all 3 movies was so grand and majestic and beautifully arranged. Not to mention, one of the 4 soloists', Andrew Sanjay George, stunning ability to hit those stupefyingly high notes. That was some talent.
There was a short 20-minute intermission after the songs from the first movie. We took the time to cam-whore a little, despite the presence of crackheads. Nah, they were just smokers who didn't mind having their life shortened by contracting lung diseases.

The concert ended around 11pm, with a red cloaked man announcing 5 lucky draw winners in the voice of Smeagol, the Gollum from the said movies. We thought he was in the wrong movie, a Death Eater from Harry Potter misplaced in Lord of the Rings. But whatever. We received door gifts too! Vouchers for New Zealand Natural Ice-Cream! Weeee....
As soon as we freed ourselves from the growing crowd in the lobby, we rushed to the LRT ticket booth/machine, hoping we could get a ride home without my parents going all the way to KL. But, for some ridiculously-idiotic-reason-that-we-may-never-find-out, the effing paper money inserter was missing. From every single effing machine. And we didn't have enough coins to cover the amount for 3 tickets. @#$%*^#*
So, we literally ran all the way back into the mall and headed straight for the first shop we saw that was still opened at that hour. KFC. Sadly, they closed all of their counters save one, where Jo changed for how much coins they had left. Then, we decided to go back to MPO to try our luck and guess what? We bumped into Jia Wen on her way down from an escalator! She offered to let 1 of us have her Touch n Go card but I didn't take it. I mean, she needed it more than me coz she lives rather far and the thought of her winding down her window to pay for the toal during the night wasn't a comfortable one. Besides, if worst comes to worst, my parents could still fetch us.
We found the rest near the entrance (Ming, Kevin and Andrew. I don't recall seeing Rachel.) and, thank God, Ming had some coins with him so Eu Chern borrowed them. Which left me without any. But before I knew it, I was whisked away to the station again coz the 2 of them said they had spare ones that might be sufficient to cover my ticket -__-"
We were gobsmacked and speechless when we got there. The EFFING paper money inserter was BACK IN PLACE! ALL of them! WTF! So we stood there and stared at the machines for a couple of seconds before Eu Chern snapped us out of it and we bought the tickets while we shrieked euphorically. Then we waved the tickets in the air kept screeching, "We've got the tickets! We've got the bloody tickets! Aaaahhhhhhhh!!!" as we raced down the escalator like maniacs. But we were still a little early for the next train so we cam-whored a bit to pass time.

11.53pm. Whoa. I think it was even later than when we took the train home from Avril's concert.
The distance we had to travel
But I must say, since we reached home in one piece and without any trouble along the way (during the ride back, I mean), I was glad that paper money inserter was down. It did make the night more memorable, don't you think?

The Show - Lenka
First heard of this utterly adorable song on Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, during the scene where Georgia, Jas, Rosie and Ellen were squished onto one of their beds, evaluating each others' physical appearances (No wonder emo is the new black. They're actually encouraging girls to point out their friends' imperfection!). The whole movie was unmitigatedly hilarious though, even if it was a typical chic flick, with hot dudes to top it up, like that swoon-able Aaron Johnson guy who starred as Robbie. If you're looking for a movie to laugh your worries away, this will be it. Trust me.
Anyway, of all the songs in the soundtrack of the said movie, I would say The Show tops the list. Somehow, Lenka's voice reminds me of Regina Spektor, who sang The Call, one of the soundtracks for The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (Ben Barnes and William Moseley <3). Unlike the latter song, The Show is bubbly, light and sweet, a song that makes you think only of happy thoughts and glee with delight. I couldn't upload the MV, thanks to the loser of the person who disabled the embedded code, so I've pasted the link instead. Go and have a listen. You'll love it =)

I'm just a little bit caught in the middle
Life is a maze and love is a riddle
I don't know where to go I can't do it alone I've tried
And I don't know why
Slow it down
Make it stop
Or else my heart is going to pop
'Cause it's too much
Yeah, it's a lot
To be something I'm not
I'm a fool
Out of love
'Cause I just can't get enough
I'm just a little bit caught in the middle
Life is a maze and love is a riddle
I don't know where to go I can't do it alone I've tried
And I don't know why
I'm just a little girl lost in the moment
I'm so scared but I don't show it
I can't figure it out
It's bringing me down I know
I've got to let it go
And just enjoy the show
The sun is hot
In the sky
Just like a giant spotlight
The people follow the sign
And synchronize in time
It's a joke
Nobody knows
They've got a ticket to that show
Yeah
I'm just a little bit caught in the middle
Life is a maze and love is a riddle
I don't know where to go I can't do it alone I've tried

I Wish You A Merry Christmas!
To my veggie gang whom I hadn't seen in years, may 2009 bring us together again to catch up on everything that has been happening in a flash throughout this year! Our daily canteen gossip days are far from over if we work to keep them going!
To my spontaneous and sometimes-sane-and-other-times-nutty, but nonetheless fun-loving and awesome, UCSI Foundation in Music friends, thank you for showing me how exciting college life can be once in the right company! All the impromptu shopping trips and outings are really drilling a hole in my pocket, but who cares? The adrenaline rush is too intoxicating for me to bother! Can't wait to see you guys next semester!
To my sexy sluts, the Masters of Spontaneity, Artists of Cam-whoring, Obnoxious Quidnuncs (a person who is eager to know the latest news and gossip) who simply love scandals, Planners of Voluminous Schemes That May Never Flourish and many other roles depending on which direction our mood takes on, I've lost count of the times I've said this, I LOVE you people with every single cell of my size ** body! You sexies never failed to make me laugh, non-too-ladylike to say the least, and let me just live for a moment in our exclusive bubble of euphoria. So here's a toast to us, the 7 oh-so-sexy sluts of 5s4, may we forge many more slutty memories together!
To the public in general, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you! May 2009 be a prosperous year for you!

Jogoya!
Had a wicked time in Starhill and Pavilion yesterday. It was started out with us having late lunch at 2pm in Jogoya, which had 50% off for the ladies, though it didn't make much difference in the end coz we brought along 4 guys to balance out our 4 girls =.="
The lucky ones: Kevin, Stephen, Max, David
The victims: Ying Hui, Wen Dee, Eunice, Jia Wen
I must say, the place was humongous and loaded with heaps of food, almost every nook and cranny of it. But I didn't really fancy the way the restaurant was mapped out. Too maze-like, made it rather hard for us to navigate around and hunt for food with ease. I was beginning to think that maybe they designed it that way to piss us 50%-opportunists off, but I caught myself when I remembered that the promotion was on for only a couple of days, so why the trouble?
FOOD (we starved ourselves the whole morning for this)!

HAAGEN-DAZS!
Cookies and Cream, my favourite =) Not sure about the one on the right. Vanilla and almond, perhaps?
I can only recall 2 out of the 4: Raspberry Sorbet and Green Tea. Happy matching them with the photo.
PEOPLE!
Stephen, Wen Dee and Max. Sheesh, the lighting spoilt it.
Cheers to you too, Jia Wen!
Damn the flash that made Eunice closed her eyes
No me
Me and Wen Dee
I think those were some alcoholic drink in their hands, not coca-cola or any other carbonated drinks
Kevin with his **** bucks camera
Max and Jia Wen
Me and Stephen
This fried needle mushroom thingy came after we settled the bill. No one remembered who ordered it, so we left it there untouched. Besides, everyone was too bloated up.
Cam-whored in the toilet
Wen Dee and Eunice, at the entrance
We wandered around for a while before stumbling upon these pretty lights. It was some sort of 'corridor' leading towards J.W. Marriott Hotel.

BLUE!!!
The toilet on its other side was real cool. There was this wheel thingy (it looks like the ones used for spinning thread) that we had to turn if we wanted water to wash our hands. Rather eco-friendly, don't you think?

Ignore my insanity
When we were busy cam-whoring in the Corridors of Pretty Lights, David somehow broke Jia Wen's specs. With a pillow. So, off we went to Pavilion to seach for an optic shop, though we planned to go there to shop (window shop for me) anyway.
Met up with Rachel and Ming in Pavilion and we begun our optic shop quest. Then, we headed to Forever 21 where, foreseen-ably, Wen Dee got herself new clothes. *Groans* I think the guys' mood went a little downhill from then onwards, coz they were just lounging around and staring into space while we mulled over dresses and skirts and blouses and shoes tiredlessly for hours. A total nightmare brought to life, as my bro puts it.
Dropped by Lavender for Ming to get some snacks (he didn't have much of a lunch). Kevin and Max bought doughnuts from J.Co. Seriously, guys really have a way abnormal level of metabolism. At least throughout their teens.

Wen Dee syok-sendiri
Yours truly
Stephen
We stayed till 8pm specially to watch Oscar performed with his choir. We are very supportive of our friends =) And guess who I met there? Sze Ying! She was in the choir too!

Red carpet! Apparently, the royal family of Terengganu blessed Starhill with their presence by dining there that night, at some Middle Eastern restaurant. I just caught a quick glimpse of them when I was on the escalator. I thought they looked shriveled and shrunk in that yellow-coloured royal chair of theirs.

To be honest, the 'tree' didn't look any better than it did during the day. It was hideously box-like and unskilfully decorated.
Eunice, Wen Dee and me
Ming and me

Me, Wen Dee and Rachel
P.S. Happy Birthday, Eunice!
P.P.S. Happy holidays, everyone! See you guys next semester!
